Dear Parents,
Please watch out
tomorrow for a paper coming home about our upcoming Bookshare project due
November 4th. It will be in
homework folders tomorrow.
The class has
earned a board game party tomorrow.
They can bring a favorite board game from home to play with
friends. We’ll play in the
afternoon for about 45 minutes.
Save the date - the
third grade is doing a play! We
are having fun rehearsing our play Squirm!
all about the creepy crawly things in nature. We will perform twice on November 7th – once for grades
K-2 at 1:00 and again at 6:00 for parents.
This week in class:
MATH: This week we are finishing up our
subtraction unit and will test on Thursday. There will be no math homework on Thursday night.
READING: This week we are learning
about fiction story structure and character traits and motivations.
WRITING: This week we are
learning more about sentence structure and how to write precise, detailed
sentences.
SOCIAL STUDIES: We will continue to learn about
Italy and start learning about our own culture here in the United States.
